Privacy policy

Who the controller is

The data published on mKariera is controlled by mobitouch, based in Rzeszów, the organiser of the mLab AI programme.

What we publish

Only what interns fill in on their own card: name, portrait photo, track, the “About me” text, links, technologies, the university, field and year of study if they switch it on themselves, a description of their work on the project and other projects. We also publish the project description written by the group’s PM and the mobitouch recommendation. The project card may show the name of the mobitouch mentor, but only with the mentor’s consent, which they can withdraw at any time. We never publish hours, grades, statuses or survey answers.

Legal basis

We publish on the basis of the intern’s consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR), given in the card editor. Without consent, the profile is not public.

How to withdraw consent or delete your card

In the mLab portal, on the mKariera tab, the “Zgoda i dane” (Consent and data) section sits at the bottom of the card editor. The “Wycofaj zgodę” (Withdraw consent) button removes your profile from mKariera straight away. Your card and its draft stay saved in the portal, but they are not public: apart from you, only the programme organisers at mobitouch can see them. If you give consent again, the profile returns to the site in its last published version. The “Usuń wizytówkę” (Delete card) button erases the card for good, with all its versions and the photo; your portal account stays. You can also simply write to us.

How to correct your data

You correct your data yourself in the card editor. While the edit window is open, “Opublikuj zmiany” (Publish changes) puts them on the site straight away and mobitouch reviews them afterwards. Once the edit window has closed, the button reads “Wyślij do akceptacji” (Send for approval): changes appear only after mobitouch approves them, and until then the site shows the previous version. Anything you cannot change yourself, such as your name or an assigned project, you can report with “Napisz do organizatorów” (Write to the organisers).

Anonymous visit statistics

To see whether the site does its job, we count how many people visit it, which cards and projects are viewed and which links are clicked. We do this ourselves, without cookies, without third-party analytics tools and without storing your IP address or the full description of your browser. We record only aggregate events: the type of page, the address of the card or project, the kind of link or filter clicked, the language, the theme, the window size in three bands (phone, tablet, computer) and the domain you came from, without the rest of the address. To count unique visitors, our server computes a short hash in memory from your IP address and browser data with a random salt that changes every day. The salt is discarded after a day and the hash is erased when the day ends, so nobody can be recognised again or followed from one day to the next. The statistics show what was viewed, never who viewed it. The basis is our legitimate interest in knowing whether the site works (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

How long we keep statistics and how to object

Individual events are kept for 90 days, after which only aggregate daily counts remain. If your browser sends the Global Privacy Control (GPC) or “Do Not Track” signal, we count only the page view itself, with no hash and no clicks; we treat it as your objection. You can also object by writing to the contact address below.

Your rights

You have the right to access your data, to correct and delete it, and to complain to the President of the Polish data protection authority (UODO). Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of publication before the withdrawal. To have all your data deleted, write to mkariera@mobitouch.net.
